Greenhouse Gases (GHG)

The Kyoto Protocol and Annex II of the EU Emissions Trading Directive consider the following greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), perfluorinated carbons PFCs (CXFX), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6). The climate impact of these gases is defined by their global warming potential.
