Conference of the parties serving as the meeting of the parties (CMP)

Since 2005, parallel to the COP, there is the CMP (Conference of the parties serving as the meeting of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol). It is the highest decision-making body of the Kyoto Protocol. COP15/CMP5 was held in Copenhagen in December 2009. The upcoming COP17/CMP7 will be held in Durban, South Africa.
